The Apache Junction Elks Lodge No. 2349 will host its annual Hoop Shoot basketball free-throw shooting competition on Saturday, January 11, 2025, starting at 8:45 a.m. The event will take place at the Multi-Generational Center located at 1035 N. Idaho Rd., Apache Junction, AZ.
This competition is free and open to boys and girls ages 8-13. Participants will be divided into separate divisions for boys and girls, and further categorized into age groups: 8-9 years old, 10-11 years old, and 12-13 years old. Eligibility is based on the participant’s age as of April 1, 2025. Pre-registration is not required.
Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second-, and third-place winners in each age group for both divisions. Local winners will have the opportunity to advance to the District Championship, with the potential to progress to Regional, State, and National Championship competitions.
