I would like to welcome everyone back to Lodge #2349 from our unexpected July closure and am looking forward to seeing everyone’s smiling faces.  Even though we were closed in July, we still were busy here at the Lodge.  We handed out (4) $1,500 and (2) $1,600 scholarships to High School graduates from Apache Junction.  We also welcomed four new members to the Lodge.

To make everyone feel more comfortable coming into our Lodge, we have increased our cleaning efforts by sanitizing the bar, bar stools, each table and chairs after each use and deep cleaning every morning before we open.

Thanks to our Bartender, Caylie, we have new drink specials for every day of the week, except for Thursdays.  On Fridays, we have a wheel that you can spin for $2 and get a shot where it lands on the wheel, so come out and join the fun.

I would like to thank everyone for their support of the Lodge on all of our past events and encourage you to keep coming out and enjoying the friendship we all have for each member & their guests.  We had a good crowd for our Spaghetti dinner Saturday, Aug. 22nd.  The proceeds will be donated to the Elks National Foundation.

We have a couple of Lodge events coming up in August and look forward to seeing a good crowd in support of these events.  On the morning of Saturday, Aug. 29th, we will be hosting the Arizona Elks Association East District Deputy clinic.  This is a special day as our very own Past Exalted Ruler, Ralph Henderson, was sworn in as the East District Deputy.  The kitchen will be open at noon, so please come in and welcome Ralph to his new position.

To give you a heads up, we are having a BBQ on Labor Day and then a BurgerFest on Sept. 19th.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that we lost two outstanding Elk members, Doug Von Stein and Bob Lewis.  My deepest condolences to their families, they will be dearly missed.

Thank you for your continued support.

Respectfully,

Sherry Coker

Exalted Ruler
