HAPPY ST. PATRICKS MONTH!

Thank you to all of our members and their guests for patronizing the Apache Junction Elks Lodge and making it possible for us to keep giving back to the community.  We are adding a lot of new members to the Lodge every month and looking forward to meeting each and every one of you. Here’s what’s going on for March 2021!

Again, just a reminder that to make everyone feel more comfortable coming into our Lodge, we have increased our cleaning efforts by sanitizing the bar, bar stools, each table, and chairs after each use and deep cleaning every morning before we open.

This month we are drawing the AJ Elks Annual 31 Guns in 31 Days raffle tickets every evening at 6 pm.  We have sold all 600 tickets this year and I want to thank everyone that purchased a ticket.  All of the money raised from this raffle is used to give scholarships to Seniors in Apache Junction Schools.  With all of the tickets being sold, we will be able to give out (3) $3,000 scholarships!

On March 27th, we will be having the new Officer Installation at 1 pm.  Everyone is invited so please come and meet the new Officers of the 2021-2022 year.  Following the installation, we will be having our annual Member / Volunteer appreciation celebration with free food and drinks for the afternoon.  I will be giving out the Awards for the past year to several very deserving members and Jeff Gravely will be providing our music.  Please come and join us for a fun-filled afternoon.

I would like to remind everyone of the activities that we continue to have at the Lodge:

Every Thursday night at 7 pm is our Texas Hold’em Tournament.  Girls Night Out with Sue Dolan is the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm and this month it is on the 16th.  This month Sandie Russell & Modern Woodsman will be having an essential oil distributor come in at 5:30 pm to inform us about the different oils so please join us.  The kitchen will be open at 5:00 pm so come hungry!  Trivia is the 3rd Wednesday of every month and it will be on the 17th this month.  The kitchen will be serving up the traditional corn beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day so come join us.  There is an RSVP signup sheet on the bulletin board by the kitchen door.  Please sign up so we know how many we will need to serve.  We have live music every Saturday from 2 pm to 5 pm and the kitchen is open from 2 pm to 4 pm during this time.  We have started Karaoke on Saturday nights from 6 pm to 9 pm with Taylor so come join us for a fun Saturday night.

We are keeping the Prime Rib on the Friday night menu thru at least the 2nd week in April and the dining room will remain open with live music starting at 5 pm starring Jerry Barr and Judy.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that we lost an outstanding Elk member, Bob Phillips.  Bob was a Past Exalted Ruler and a Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler of our Lodge and was very active in the management of the Lodge for many, many years.  My deepest condolences to his family, he will be dearly missed.

Thank you for your continued support.

Respectfully,

Sherry Coker

Exalted Ruler
